EYC 2024 — Last Chance to Register!
HELP is pleased to offer a full day of pre-conference learning and dialogue for UBC's Early Years Conference (EYC) on February 1! With a focus on 20 years of BC early years data and research, the event will cover a wide range of topics from a diverse group of presenters and participants, including Aboriginal Steering Committee members who guide HELP’s work, community, health, and school district partners, as well as HELP faculty, staff, and students. Be sure to save your spot before the registration deadline on January 15.
We are delighted to mark the arrival of 2024 with the addition of three distinguished faculty and affiliate faculty members to HELP's esteemed team of researchers. These accomplished individuals bring a wealth of knowledge and experience that will undoubtedly enrich our ongoing efforts to better understand and improve early childhood development.
While $10-a-day child care is life-changing for many Canadian families, we are a long way from it being available to all. "A Whole Life"is a new research report from the Centre for Family Equity that sheds light on how $10-a-day child care can uplift the health and well-being of low-income lone mothers.
HELP Reads is our monthly citation list that provides the latest findings in child development research. The 2023 Master List is last year's cumulative list of child development resources and journal articles, categorized according to the topics that you see in the monthly issues of HELP Reads.
